Nightcrawler 04:18
endless guilt giveaway first in line for mistakes you're no fun when you're high a setting sun fills your eyes you go, hide in solitude you know, time will follow you
2.
darling, close your eyes for your love is blind still I hope in time that it will be mine darling step inside and im sure you'll find you've been on my mind long before this rhyme whenever you're around, I can't sleep and when I'm lying down, you're in my dreams and I know that its wrong to feel this but I don't have to explain my reasons now we've reached the time in which we decide do we let this lie or give into desire? lets get this over now, don't fight feelings just never speak aloud, or repeat them the sober mouth, shares no secrets and the drunken clown, has no regrets
3.
early in the morning see the clouds perform in, the sunlight everyone is mourning seems were more important, when we die is this all a joke, or a sad truth? turned your bed of snow, into a glass room hid within its walls are your feelings safe and sound from all of your demons and when i lose you, then i lose myself what am i to do when ice starts to melt? subtract the odds, and get even? or sit back and watch, as you're sinking days turn into moments conversations drone as time speeds by body keeps on going but the heart and soul get left behind do you wanna choke, and let it trap you? or escape the throes of your glass noose everyone becomes a fleeting memory to us in the end but if i lose you, then i lose myself what am I to do, when you're someone else? pupils black, enlarged, and all feelings turn to glassy shards that you breathe in
4.
dont speed away, drive slow camp sleepaway, I go you're secrets safe, i know don't believe in faith, blind hope oh, you couldn't cope oh, now you're a ghost oh, the caskets closed, and oh but if you want, I'll be home but if you don't, i'll be gone its not enough to say in song so if you want... just for today, try drugs don't give away my love some people change, I'm one don't be the same, I'm dumb oh, you couldn't cope oh, now you're a ghost oh, the caskets closed, and oh but if you want, I'll be home but if you don't, i'll be gone its not enough to say in song so if you want... (lead) (repeat chorus) it was good, good it was it was good, good it was

do seasons change? (do lovers lie?) i'm seein' things (lost my eyes) the easy way (hard to find) and if you think (im wrong, you're right) in this countryside town no one ever lies down is it safe to hide now? in this comfort I've found rearranged (and realigned) feeling strange (feeling fine) the only way (to lose is try) you've me to thank (for bad advice) in this countryside town no one ever lies down is it safe to hide now? in this comfort I've found

8.
you have to give to receive and you give the gift of receiving honestys best and whats right when truth is you're better off lying i can't control how i feel and i feel I'm prone to not feeling I'm safe and sound without borders i'm out of bounds, but in order my heart is dead when you leave and my lungs expand when you breathe in its not the same as it once was nothing has changed, nothing ever does the cost of living is leaving but we're cheating death in our sleep and subconscious memories sink in under the weight of our dreaming i can't control how i feel and i feel I'm prone to not feeling I'm safe and sound without borders i'm out of bounds, but in order my heart is dead when you leave and my lungs expand when you breathe in its not the same as it once was nothing has changed, nothing ever does

harrowing tides, under saline skies i should leave but I don't have the will to, so I'll stay behind maybe I'll start to see that the flower can still bloom when the vase is dry, baby I'm fine heroine eyes, gone and made me blind now i see that the flower is in bloom, and the vase is mine baby I'm in a dream that hasn't an end you, can't save me now lay me down down down

about

This one took a long time yall, I know. Five years, to be exact.

I honestly think I got Kevin Shields//Q - Tip syndrome to the point where this thing became my own personal Loveless or Low End Theory, lol. I just never thought it would be perfect enough to call complete. Well, its nowhere near perfect, but it IS finally complete.

You don't have to be any sort of audiophile to notice the changes in quality throughout, so I'll go ahead and say that everything you hear here was done between 2014 - 2018 (duh), largely in huge gaps. Songs like "The DEA Took My Baby Away" and "The End is Neat" were done during June//October of 2014, wheras something like "No Name #9" was literally completed just a few days before this album came out. Needless to say, there were a lot of changes in equipment and what I thought sounded good during that time, lol

Anyway, enough yakkin! Heres five years worth of work that I hope y'all enjoy. I know its a lot different from the last two albums, but its definitely my most personal work to date, and I hope yall will welcome it with open arms.

about

Orchidales Belmont, North Carolina

"...three dudes from Belmont who finished high school a few years back and, well, didn't leave. Their surfy, trash-fi translation of Brian Jonestown Massacre well reflects the kind of nihilistic, hard-drinking slumming that takes place among the young and disillusioned - as do their rowdy, equipment failure-plagued live shows." - Corbie Hill, Creative Loafing ... more
