darlin', close yer eyes for yer love is blind still, I hope in time that it will be mine darlin' step inside and im sure you'll find you've been on my mind long before this rhyme whenever yer around, I can't sleep when I'm lying down you're in my dreams and I know that its wrong to feel this but I don't have to explain my reasons now we've reached the time in which we decide do we let this lie? or give into desire? lets get this over now, don't fight feelings just never speak aloud, or repeat them a sober mouth shares no secrets and a drunken clown has no regrets

about

Its been a long time comin', but heres a few new songs for you guys. This stuff sounds a bit different than the old Orchidales material, mostly due to me listening to a lot of Chameleons, Ride, Unwound... shit like that. Either way, the album should be complete by the end of the year, and I hope y'all enjoy these tunes until then!

All songs were recorded using a Fostex MR-8 and mastered using Sony Acid 7. The only thing I used the program for was adjusting the levels of each instrument... no pitch correction, quantization, or any of that bullshit. Enjoy.

about

Orchidales Belmont, North Carolina

"...three dudes from Belmont who finished high school a few years back and, well, didn't leave. Their surfy, trash-fi translation of Brian Jonestown Massacre well reflects the kind of nihilistic, hard-drinking slumming that takes place among the young and disillusioned - as do their rowdy, equipment failure-plagued live shows." - Corbie Hill, Creative Loafing ... more
